Preconstruction Budget Banner

What and How are the Metrics Created?
Each metric in this banner compares the projects within budget and those over budget. Each metric in the Preconstruction Budget Banner is created by filtering the large dataset in a specific manner to achieve the desired result. There are two different metrics in the Banner and the way the data is filtered to create them can be seen below:
  • # Projects Within Budget: The PDL field is filtered for only responses with a yes (Y), and the PERCENT_OF_VALUE field contains the Project within Budget counts.
  • # Projects Over Budget: The PDL field is filtered for only responses with a yes (Y), and the PERCENT_OF_VALUE field contains the Project Over Budget counts.

Expenditures Against Cost Estimate Banner

Purpose: Provides detail for the Expenditures Against Cost Estimate banner metrics
Date Range: Current Federal Fiscal Year

What and How are the Metrics Created?
Each metric in this banner compares the expenditures against costs. Each metric in the Expenditures Against Cost Estimate Banner is created by filtering the large dataset in a specific manner to achieve the desired result. There are three different metrics in the Banner and the way the data is filtered to create them can be seen below:
  • # Projects < 95% of Budget: The PDL field is filtered for only responses with a yes (Y), and the EXPENSE_TO_CONTR_BUDGET can be filtered for only the EXP LESS THAN 95% OF BUDGET.
  • # Projects within 5% of Budget: The PDL field is filtered for only responses with a yes (Y), and the EXPENSE_TO_CONTR_BUDGET can be filtered for only the WITHIN 5% OF BUDGET.
  • # Projects Over Budget: The PDL field is filtered for only responses with a yes (Y), and the EXPENSE_TO_CONTR_BUDGET can be filtered for only the PROJECT OVER BUDGET.

What and How are the Metrics Created?
Each metric in this banner compares the expenditures against the value. Each metric in the Expenditures Against Project Value Banner is created by filtering the large dataset in a specific manner to achieve the desired result. There are three different metrics in the Banner and the way the data is filtered to create them can be seen below:
  • # Projects < 95% of Proj Value: The PDL field is filtered for only responses with a yes (Y), and the EXPENSE_TO_PROJ_VALUE can be filtered for only the EXP LESS THAN 95% OF PROJ VALUE.
  • # Projects within 5% of Proj ValueThe PDL field is filtered for only responses with a yes (Y), and the EXPENSE_TO_PROJ_VALUE can be filtered for only the WITHIN 5% OF PROJ VALUE.
  • # Projects Over Proj ValueThe PDL field is filtered for only responses with a yes (Y), and the EXPENSE_TO_PROJ_VALUE can be filtered for only the PROJECT OVER PROJECT VALUE.

What and How are the Metrics Created?
Each metric in this banner displays the amounts of the Federal Obligations. Each metric in the Federal Obligation Projection Banner is created by filtering the large dataset in a specific manner to achieve the desired result. There are four different metrics in the Banner and the way they are created can be seen below:
**Important Note: These datasets have been filtered in advance, so there is no filtering required to reproduce these metrics, only summing the data. PLEASE use the specific dataset of interest.**
  • Current Obligation Total: This value is created by summing all of the values in the Obligation_Value column.
  • Current Year Funds With No Advertise DateThis value is created by summing all of the values in the Current_Year_Funds column.
  • Total A/C ValueThis value is created by summing all of the values in the Current_AC column.
  • Unprogrammed ApportionmentsThis value is created by summing all of the values in the Current_Year_Funds column.
